Office Policy

Masking is required at this time. Please understand this is a place of wellness and some clients may have immune system issues that require extra care. If you have any medical reason excusing you from wearing a mask, please contact us with a note from your primary care physician.

24 Hour notice of cancellation is REQUIRED. All late, cancelled, or missed appointments will incur a fee of the ENTIRE MISSED SESSION and possible refusal of all future services.

Sessions start at the designated appointment time. Any time missed will be forfeited. Please contact therapist if you are running late to your session. A delay of 10 minutes will be considered cancelled and will need to be rescheduled. Please refer to cancellation policy above.

It is the client's responsibility to remember appointments. At this time, there are no systems set in place for reminders. If you miss your appointment, you will not be contacted by the therapist. There is no cancellations list or wait list. Please refer to the cancellation policy.

Wellness is our biggest priority. If you are unwell with any cold, virus, influenza, any communicable disease, your allergies might be bad but you're not sure, rash, shingles outbreak, fungus, or any other immune system issue, please contact the therapist IMMEDIATELY to reschedule no matter how close to your appointment time. All fees will be waived. At risk individuals should feel safe and welcome. If anyone is present with illness or disease, all other appointments that day will be cancelled and all parties exposed will quarantine as necessary. Violators will be asked to not return in the future and the session will be terminated immediately. This is a zero tolerance policy.

As per State and City guidelines, massage therapists are forbidden to work while sick. You may be contacted to reschedule if the therapist is unwell. You will be booked for the next available time slots, which could be weeks or even months into the future. There is no jumping the line. Please be honest and cancel your appointment or wear a mask if you are not feeling well or having "allergy problems" that day. The therapist may need to take several days off in a row, resulting in many clients losing their booked sessions. Please review the policy above.

State and City guidelines require that clients are completely draped during the session. Please undress to the level of your comfort and proceed to the table, covering your entire body with the sheets and blanket provided. Pillows are available upon request.

The therapist may touch you but you may not touch the therapist. Therapy sessions are clinical and intended to guide the muscular, lymphatic, circulatory, respiratory, integumentary, endocrine, and skeletal systems into a state of homeostasis for well-being. Violations of this policy will be reported immediately to Grover Beach Police Department.

Please communicate any necessary changes to pressure desired. The therapist is here to help your body, not hinder it or be unkind, so please feel encouraged to discuss needs before, during, or even after a session. Some soreness, swelling, or bruising may occur. Please contact the therapist with any concerns via call, text, or email.

Please update your therapist if there are any changes to the body. This includes new medications, X-Ray or MRI results, illness, accidents, or other injuries.

Please turn OFF mobile audio notifications (ringing, alarms, text messages) as the room is quiet and the therapist will jump out of her skin if your phone rings.

Please avoid consumption of alcohol 12 hours before the session. Sessions may be terminated by the therapist as it is unsafe for the body to be under the influence of alcohol during therapy.

Extreme Weather Conditions: During some storms, extreme heat, heavy rains, high winds, or fires in or around our area with smokey or ash conditions that affect air quality, earthquakes within our region, and in the rare event of tsunamis, Brandilyn Intuitive Healing may close for business for the day. If you are impacted by weather conditions, please contact the therapist to reschedule your session.

Persons under the age of 18 need a guardian present in the room for the entire length of the therapy session. This is non-negotiable. Children admitted without an adult present will need to contact their guardian for immediate pick up. Massage can help children of all ages, from infancy through high school, for all kinds of reasons from genetic conditions, sports injuries, accidents, to even studying too much! Sessions for children are thirty to sixty minutes maximum. Please ask for more information.

No unattended children of ANY AGE are allowed during the session. If you cannot find childcare, please contact the therapist to rebook as soon as possible. This means that if you are on the table, your child may not sit in the room to wait for you. The therapy room is not intended for child care.

Therapy animals of all kinds are welcome! Feel free to bring your pet if they meet the following criteria:

* Has all shots/immunizations

* People friendly/socialized/won't bite the therapist on the nose; can lie down and not just lick the therapist and look longingly into her eyes for the entirety of the session

* Clean/groomed (no pups right off the beach, please! Sand/ticks/funky seaweed smell not welcome!)
